Britney Spears has been living in the public eye since she was a young girl.
However, the pop star doesn’t dream of fame for her two young sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.
“I’d love them unconditionally if they wanted to,” she tells OK magazine.
But, she adds, “I’d just as soon they have a more normal childhood.”
As for Spears’ 17-year-old sister, Jamie Lynn, the singer says it was surprising to find out she was pregnant.
“I was shocked a little bit,” Britney told the magazine. “She’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling.”
Spears lost custody of her children in February 2007, and a judge ordered her father Jamie Spears to act as her conservator.
And, he tells the magazine of the situation, “Right now, everything is okay. I just don¹t know about what six months from now will bring, or three months. But as it is right now, the conservator is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. This is the way I live, one day at a time.”
Papa Spears admits it’s been a rocky road, but their relationship is better for it.
“It¹s wonderful. It is new for both of us. She sometimes calls me 50 times a day and asks me things that light my life up. But like all daughters, she is very manipulative and cunning. So she gets what she wants a lot.”
I will say this, God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good. If this hadn¹t happened, I would never have been able to get back with my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little boys,” Jamie adds.
Spears is currently working on a new album, due out, she says, in “six to nine months.”
“I think it is more urban. I¹m working with producers who are just amazing...I¹m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room,” Britney says.
Feeling good about life, she adds, “This is my best work ever.”
