Runway judge Britney Spears

Heidi Klum wants Britney Spears to be a judge on 'Project Runway'.

The supermodel - who hosts the hit US TV fashion show - reportedly thinks an appearance from Britney would dramatically increase the programme's popularity.

After meeting up with Britney at her 27th birthday party in New York's Tenjune nightclub this week, sources say Heidi is keen to ask the singer to appear on an upcoming episode of the series, which sees keen fashion designers compete to win a contract with a leading fashion store.

A source said: "Heidi is smart - she knows that Britney can do wonders for a show's ratings, there's been a lot of drama at 'Project Runway' - it would be huge for her to get Britney."

Previous guest judges on the show include Sarah Jessica Parker, Natalie Portman and Victoria Beckham.

Jennifer Lopez was also scheduled to judge an episode of the series, but pulled out after reportedly injuring her foot.

Britney Spears' double proposal

Britney Spears has received two marriage proposals.

The 27-year-old singer - who has wed twice before - is said to have been propositioned by her paparazzo ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, who she met up with in September.

A source said: "Adnan has been bombarding Britney with texts telling her he loves her, that she is incredibly sexy and the best thing that has ever happened to him. He has even asked her to marry him.

"Britney was taken aback. She and Adnan have amazing chemistry. But she knows he is bad news, and now friends and family are worried she will give him a second chance."

However, Britney has also received a proposal from hair salon manager Salvatore D'Angelo, who she was introduced to last month.

The source added to Look magazine: "Things couldn't be going better between Salvatore and Britney. Salvatore just came out with it and popped the question two weeks ago. He was at her place when he told her he has fallen in love and wants to marry her one day. Britney was thrilled but told him she has to concentrate on work and being a good mother to her two sons.
"However, she said if he still feels the same way at the end of next year, she will consider marrying him."

Britney Spears' UK shame

Britney Spears hid her face as she left the UK yesterday (30.11.08), after fans blasted her "disastrous" performance on British television on Saturday (29.11.08).

The 26-year-old singer donned a trilby, sunglasses and a hooded duffle coat in a bid to remain invisible as she returned to America after causing outrage by appearing to mime during her rendition of hit track 'Womanizer' on TV talent show 'The X Factor'.

Angry fans branded the appearance - which marked her first performance on British TV in five years - "an absolute disaster". Britney also reportedly angered show chief Simon Cowell by refusing to watch the contestants perform her songs on the programme, and banned show judges - Simon, Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole - from coming into her room to meet her.

A source said: "When the judges went to meet her, her security wouldn't let anyone past. You have never seen so many security guards. Even around the judges' dressing rooms was sealed off by Britney's security people."

Britney then further infuriated her British fans when she appeared at the G-A-Y nightclub in London to celebrate her 27th birthday but refused to take to the stage after being presented with a cake.

However, Britney's spokesperson Shoshanna Stone insists the singer had never agreed to perform at the club, adding: "Contrary to reports, Britney was never booked to perform or even appear at G-A-Y. She was invited to the evening but was never asked to perform.

"Following her incredible performance on 'The X Factor', Britney took up the invite and relaxed among friends."

The singer is expected to celebrate her birthday and the release of her new album 'Circus' with a performance on US TV show 'Good Morning America' tomorrow (02.12.08).

Mark Wahlberg's Britney blast

Mark Wahlberg doesn't want his daughter to look up to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

The 37-year-old actor - who has a five-year-old daughter Ella Rae, two-year-old son Michael and nine-week-old baby boy Brendan Joseph with fiancee Rhea Durham - wants to move away from Hollywood because there are no positive role models for his children.

He said: "We won't stay in Hollywood forever because it's very difficult to raise normal kids in an environment like that. And I was thinking there are no real role models for girls. You've got Britney Spears, you've got Paris Hilton - they're nice enough people but I don't want my daughter to aspire to be like that."

Mark - who can currently be seen starring in action thriller 'Max Payne', in which he plays a man attempting to avenge the deaths of his wife and baby daughter - also revealed he is more worried about being a good father than maintaining a successful acting career.

He added to The Journal newspaper: "I'm much more concerned with being a good dad and being there for them and teaching them and hopefully helping them avoid some of the mistakes that I've made."

Britney Spears' Beckham lesson

Britney Spears wants to have soccer lessons from David Beckham.

The 26-year-old singer loves playing the physically exhausting sport and would like a few tips from Los Angeles Galaxy player David to help improve her skills.

She said: "David Beckham is my favourite soccer star, and he's a cutie! I'm not a very good soccer player, so I have to get someone in to help me - maybe he can!"

Britney - who can be seen in upcoming TV documentary 'Britney: For the Record' - also revealed she often gets annoyed at how much pressure she puts on herself to succeed.

She added to Britain's OK! magazine: "I'm such a perfectionist sometimes. It has its good points but then it has its bad points because you are never satisfied. I don't think you should ever be completely satisfied as they you are putting a limit on yourself.

"But you end up driving yourself crazy because you are never pleased with the finished product. You're always like, 'Well, if I had done it like this, then it probably would have been a lot better.'

With just a few weeks until the release of her new LP, it seems the once troubled star is on the way to a remarkable comeback.

Her single Womanizer hits the shelves on November 24, with Circus in shops the following week.

Britney Spears praised by Kevin Federline after son's hospital dash

Star's ex was impressed with her rapid response

Britney Spears has been commended for her quick thinking, following her son Jayden's hospitalisation.

The two-year-old was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre on Sunday after suffering a severe allergic reaction.

And ex-husband Kevin Federline, who has full custody of Jayden and Sean Preston, 3, was impressed with how she coped.

'We're pleased that someone was aware enough to see that he was having some sort of reaction and do what was necessary to make sure there were no chances taken and got Jayden to the appropriate facility and got the appropriate evaluation to be timely,’ a laywer for Kev tells Us Weekly.

‘I don't anticipate there being a hearing. I anticipate that Kevin and Britney as concerned parents will exchange information and satisfy themselves that what happened was a freak occurrence and do what they have to do to make sure that it doesn't happen again.’

It was the first time Brit had taken the kids out of LA since Kevin, 30, gained full custody earlier this year.

Britney Spears' son discharged

Britney Spears' two-year-old son was released from hospital last night (10.11.08).

Jayden James - who was rushed to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Kentwood, Louisiana, on Sunday (09.11.08) after suffering a suspected seizure - is said to have suffered an allergic reaction caused by "something he ingested".

A statement posted on Britney's official website yesterday read: "Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th.

"Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested."

Britney - who reportedly refused to leave Jayden's side while he was being treated - was photographed wearing sunglasses as she carried the tot into what appeared to be a car accompanied by a security escort.

The incident occurred as Britney visited her family, marking the first time she has taken her sons to her home state since she lost custody of them to ex-husband Kevin Federline, who is now the primary carer of both Jayden James and the couple's other son, three-year-old Sean Preston.

SHOCK! Britney Spears' son 'rushed to hospital'

Singer said to be distraught over Jayden James

Britney Spears' son Jayden James suffered a suspected seizure yesterday afternoon.

The two-year-old is said to have fallen ill when they were visiting family in the singer's hometown of Louisiana.

'One minute Britney and her sons were relaxing and enjoying their first visit to Kentwood in months, and the next minute Jayden had fallen ill,' a source reveals.

'He was vague and unresponsive so Britney dialled an ambulance. But she was told it would take half an hour to arrive, and she was best trying to get Jayden to the hospital herself.

'

After rushing him to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre, the tot was apparently examined by doctors.

'Jayden James had to be kept in hospital overnight for observations,' a source tells the Daily Mail.

'We don't yet know what's wrong with him. Britney was insistent that wouldn't leave him. She asked for a bed to be made up in the same room so she could be there at his side.'

Ex-husband Kevin Federline, 30, is thought to be making his way to Louisiana to be with his kids.

It's the first time Brit, 26, has taken Jayden and Sean Preston, 3, out of LA since Kevin gained full custody in July.

Madonna teams up with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake

MADONNA dedicated a song to women who’ve been duped by a cheating best mate that “f***ed” their boyfriend at her LA gig last night.

The Queen of Pop – heading for a divorce showdown with hubby GUY RITCHIE – raised eyebrows among the Dodger Stadium crowd when the feisty singer introduced her song She Not Me.

She said: “This song is for you girls out there that have had one of your best friends f*** your boyfriend!”

Madonna also risked losing a host of UK fans by blasting her film director ex’s home turf during her rendition of Dress You Up.

She winced as she sang: “All your suits are custom made in London,” before putting her fingers to her nose suggesting the capital stinks.

However it was BRITNEY SPEARS who stole the show on the night.

It was a brave move for 50-year-old Madge to share the fans’ adulation with comeback beauty Britney on her Sticky and Sweet tour.

The global megastars, who titillated fans by snogging.

They opened the gig with a version of Human Nature, taken from Madonna's sixth studio album Bedtime Stories.

Check out the duo’s performance in the video below.

A source said: “Britney’s life has been shambolic since her last duet with Madonna.

“Her marriage fell apart, she shaved her hair off, she lost custody of her kids and completely went off the rails. But she is back to her very best now.”

Britney, 26, who claimed to be a virgin when she first burst on to the scene, wore a blouse and trousers while Madonna had on fishnet stockings, a top hat and leotard.

She was then lowered beneath the stage as loyal fans cried out her name.

Ex-boyfriend and former Disney Mouseketeer JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE also turned up to sing a duet with Madge, performing their infectious tune 4 Minutes.

JENNIFER LOPEZ and NICOLE RICHIE left motherhood at home to support their pal, along with BLACK EYED PEAS honey FERGIE.

Meanwhile. Madge has sent her aides to Malawi to reassure Yohane Banda, penniless dad of her three-year-old adopted son David, the tot is her “first priority” in her divorce.

Britney Spears latest album 'Circus' takes her to startling new heights

BRITNEY SPEARS has never been a shrinking violet and her latest album Circus takes her bravado to startling new heights.

I’m the only journalist on the planet to have heard the pop princess’s latest offering — and one track in particular left me stunned.

The title If You Seek Amy, seems innocuous enough, but it has an entirely different meaning.

It goes: “All the boys and all the girls want to if you seek Amy”. That clearly doesn’t make much sense.

What you hear, though, is the quite shocking statement: “All the boys and all the girls want to f*** me.”

I can’t see LEONA LEWIS releasing anything like that in the future.

It’s a great track. A stomping robo pop number with clattering kettle drums and Brit being quite frank about the opinion she holds of herself.

Kill The Lights focuses on the star’s relationship with the paparazzi, the lights referring to flash bulbs. It’s a brilliant disco banger with an elastic bass line and plenty of spooky keyboard work.

During Kill The Lights Brit addresses her camera-toting tormentors with the brilliant line: “Is that money in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?”

The collection’s title track sees Brit morphing ever closer to MADONNA. Circus has more than a passing resemblance to the industrial hip-hop-powered tracks on Hard Candy.

Her marriage meltdown is tackled on Out From Under and Brit seems mighty relieved to be shot of KEVIN FEDERLINE.

She sings: “We tried everything we could try so let’s just say goodbye forever.”

It’s a stirring break-up ballad up there with the best.

Circus is out on the star’s 27th birthday on December 2.

Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears to perform with Madonna

Former lovebirds to sing with Madonna on stage

Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are expected to join Madonna on tour.

The former lovers, who dated for four years, are set to make a surprise appearance at a gig in LA.

‘I just got word that Justin and Britney are going to be on stage with Madonna tomorrow at Dodger stadium,’ DJ Ryan Seacrest said on air.

Both stars have collaborated with Madonna, 50, in the past.

Brit, 26, even shared a steamy kiss with the Material Girl at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003, where they performed a version of Like A Virgin.

She and Justin, 27, ended their relationship in 2002.

Britney Spears Talks Sex Romps And Head-Shaving In Tell-All Doc

The singer lifts the lid on her troubled past...

Britney Spears is setting the record straight about her head-shaving episode, alleged sex romps and bitter divorce in a candid documentary.

The programme – which has been bought by Sky 1 – is sure to be the most eagerly-anticipated of the year.

Cameras followed the pop princess for six months as she gradually bounced back from her highly-public breakdown at the start of the year.

Britney tells MTV News, “I wanted to make it because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in.

“This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through – and where I’m headed.”

Sky executive Louisa Forsyth says, “Britney is an icon and the world has been fascinated by her story. Now she will reveal the truth in her own words.”

Britney: For The Record is due to be shown on Sky 1 in December.

Saturday host Britney Spears

Britney Spears is reportedly set to host US TV sketch show 'Saturday Night Live'.

The singer - who is releasing her new album 'Circus' on December 2 - will present the sketch show for the third time on November 22, gossip website Celebuzz.com has claimed.

Britney - who broke records for being the youngest person in history to host and perform when she appeared on 'Saturday Night Live' eight years ago aged 18, and also hosted the programme in 2002 - is hoping a role on the hit series will help secure her comeback.

A source said: "Britney is in final talks to appear on 'Saturday Night Live' on November 22. She is really nervous about it, but thinks it will finally convince people she has put her troubled past behind her and has the ability to laugh at herself."

Britney may also perform a track from her new record on the show.
The decision follows Britney's successful performance on US TV sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother' earlier this year.

Critics praised the 26-year-old star for her comic timing, and ratings of the series were boosted so much that Britney was invited onto a second episode.

Claws out in battle for No1

THE mother of all chart battles kicks off a week today.
Pop divas BRITNEY SPEARS, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, LEONA LEWIS and BEYONCE are releasing singles on the same day.

I’m dubbing November 3 D-Day in honour of the four babes as they go head to head.

Her new offering, Womanizer, is another precision-tooled pop rocket. The video has her writhing naked in a sauna and, surprise surprise, is getting loads of airplay.

I can also exclusively reveal her eagerly awaited X Factor slot will be on November 29. Britney’s one time arch-rival Christina is issuing the title track from Keeps Gettin’ Better, her Greatest Hits collection, and it’s a stomping glam-pop banger.

Forgive Me sees Leona ditching gut-busting ballads for an up-tempo R&B number.
Glory

Finally, Beyonce’s track If I Were A Boy, which is released digitally, is probably the most surprising of the lot.

She’s already ahead on points thanks to the stunning promo shot shown above, and has produced a belting but serious ballad about the (alleged) faults of the male species.

HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said: “We haven’t had a heavyweight chart battle like this for a while. It’s wide open but you have to fancy Britney, perhaps just ahead of Leona.”

In terms of album sales Britney is way ahead of the pack with an extraordinary 76million under her belt.

Beyonce has sold 63million, though half were with former group DESTINY’S CHILD.

Christina is next with 42million while Leona has notched up three million sales, for her debut Spirit — but she is the biggest-selling artist of the year so far Stateside.

Rest assured, I’ll bring you the latest from the epic battle as it happens.

I’ve got my fingers crossed for the home-grown talent though.

I’d love to see Leona trounce her US rivals..

Britney Spears' biopic plan

Britney Spears is set to star in a film of her life.

The 'Womanizer' singer will relive some of the most traumatic events in her life - including her breakdown earlier this year, which saw her lose custody of her two sons Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two - for the biopic, which is being made by British director Phil Griffin.

A source said: "It's the film everyone will be queuing to see. It will be dark and gritty - charting Britney's devastating falls including her traumatic custody battle for her two children.

"Let's just say it will not be for the faint-hearted. But it will also show the highs along her incredible life journey."

Although filmmakers were initially concerned Britney - whose father Jamie is still acting as co-conservator of her estate following her breakdown - might not be strong enough to revisit her past troubles, the 26-year-old singer is said to be keen to star in the project.

The source added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "If anything it will be cathartic for Britney. She has been through so much and is finally back to her best.

"This will be her ultimate chance to prove to the world she's still got it."

Britney's new album 'Circus' will be released next month, followed by a world tour to promote it.

Earlier this month, it was claimed Britney's mother Lynne Spears was in talks to make her tell-all book about her daughter into a film.

Britney was said to be furious Anna Faris was being lined up to play her in the big screen version of revealing tome 'Through The Storm'.

Lynne is keen for Julia Roberts to portray her in the movie.

Britney Spears treats sons to Halloween outing

The singer seemed to be enjoying the opportunity to introduce her two boys by Kevin Federline to the Halloween traditions she would have followed as a child.

A happy young mum hugs one of her two toddlers on a family day out. An unremarkable scene - were in not for the fact that this is Britney Spears showing how much she's regained control of her life.

The Womanizer star was at Mr Bones' Pumpkin Patch in Los Angeles, an annual favourite with celebs who stop by to pick up Halloween decorations and introduce their little ones to the season's traditions. In her arms she carried her younger son, two-year-old Jayden, while a friend kept a watchful eye on his brother Sean, three.

For the family pumpkin-choosing outing the singer was dressed in a typical ensemble for busy mums – a T-shirt and skinny jeans - rather than one of the outfits which characterised her very public meltdown last year.

Earlier in the day the singer, who recently topped the US charts for the second time in her career, had taken over the school run - picking up her boys up from their nursery school.

Britney Spears To Dress Up As 'Bald Britney' For Halloween Bash?

The star gets festive...

Britney Spears is reportedly planning the mother of all Halloween parties for family and friends.

The pop princess is sparing no expense to make the party one to remember and is said to have already decided on her ghoulish get-up.

A source says, "Britney has always loved Halloween.
"She's got a lot of friends and family coming over and they'll all be in costume.

"She's thinking of going as herself but back in her shaven head days.

"She's genuinely horrified when she looks back at those times so she figures that look would be a great costume for Halloween.

"She won't actually be shaving her head this time though!"
We're relieved to hear it.

If Britney sticks with her bald cap plan, she might just outdo her own Halloween efforts from last year...
