Will Smith: Physically fit is the key to 'happiness'

Will Smith thinks being physically fit is the key to happiness.

The actor - who had to get in great shape for a number of film roles, including 'I Am Legend' and 'Ali' - thinks a healthy body equals a healthy mind.

He said: "I feel like everything in my life depends on physical conditioning. I love eating sweets and everything, but I think the quality of my parenting, the quality of my relationship with my wife - it is all based on being on great physical condition.

"I believe it's the beginning of finding true happiness."

Meanwhile, Will is to star in a prequel to 'I Am Legend'.

Director Francis Lawrence has confirmed the 'Men in Black' actor will reprise his role as Robert Neville - though he admits they haven't yet worked out a plot yet.

Francis said: "Absolutely, we're actually trying to crack a second movie. We're trying to figure out some ideas for it, but yes, it would be a prequel."

‘I Am Legend’ Prequel In The Works

i-am-legend.jpg

I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence has confirmed he is working on a follow-up to the hit 2007 film and Will Smith will return to revive his character, Dr. Robert Neville, to complete the beginning of the story.

Lawrence says:

”Absolutely (there will be a prequel), we’re actually trying to crack that. We’re trying to figure out some ideas for it, but yes, it would be a prequel.”

And the moviemaker insists that filming the follow-up will be much easier than working on the original, because the crew will not have to shut off large areas of New York City again - a move that sparked chaos among commuters and city workers. He adds:

”The first time you go out there and shut down 6th Avenue, it’s like, ‘How are we going to do this day after day after day?’ But by the end, it’s just like you know how to do it.

“You got the PAs (personal assistants) who know how to shut it down, how to let the traffic through in between set-ups and you just sort of get the routine down, so that’s not the issue.”

Will Smith School Denies Scientology Link

will-jada.jpg

Bosses at New Village Academy of Calabasas, the school funded by Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, have denied students are to be given lessons in Scientology.

Will is a close friend of outspoken Scientologist Tom Cruise and was recently forced to deny rumors he too has enrolled in the Church of Scientology.

The Hancock star was also rumored to have instructed teachers at his new school to preach the controversial faith to students, but academy director Jacqueline Olivier has denied the allegations - insisting the school will not focus on any religion in particular saying:

”We are a secular school, and just like all nonreligious independent schools, faculty and staff do not promote their own religions at school or pass on the beliefs of their particular faith to children.”

The school is due to open in September .
