Cheryl Cole dined with 'Girls Aloud this week'

Cheryl Cole dined with Girls Aloud this week, taking a break from her X Factor duties.

The singer, 25, was gutted when her act Laura White, 21, was voted off the show last Saturday.

And she has since been snapped looking glum outside the ITV studios.

But Cheryl transformed herself for a night out with bandmates Sarah Harding, 26, Kimberley Walsh, 26, Nadine Coyle, 23, and Nicola Roberts, 23, on Wednesday.

Wearing a white top and pencil skirt, she beamed happily as she arrived at Nobu restaurant in London.

After the meal, Cheryl headed home while the others moved on to celeb hotspot Movida.

Cherl Cole denies rumors of flirtation between her and Simon Cowell

Cheryl Cole
has rubbished rumours that there's a flirtation between her and fellow X Factor judge Simon Cowell.

The Girls Aloud singer says she thinks he's a great guy – but the 49-year-old is more like a father figure to her.

‘I’ve read a few hilarious things recently, that we should get together,’ she says.

‘And I wouldn’t like to insult him but… he is a bit too old. But he's a really good person, naturally charismatic.’

But Cheryl, 25, who's married to Chelsea footballer Ashley, 27, says she enjoys the banter she shares with Simon.

‘He calls me The Kid,’ she tells the Observer Magazine. ‘He took me under his wing more than anything.’

Cheryl Cole revealed Simon Cowell thought she was a pushover!

Girls Aloud star had to toughen up for The X Factor

Cheryl Cole has revealed Simon Cowell thought she was a pushover when she first started on The X Factor.

The Girls Aloud star, who replaced judge Sharon Osbourne, 55, admits she was too weak in the beginning.

‘I was saying yes to tone deaf people for about four hours on the first day,’ she tells Radio 1. 'And I was trying to make people feel more comfortable.

‘It got to the point where Simon said “you're making yourself look silly. You need to be honest, don't patronise people, just be honest”.

‘I felt a bit out of my depth at first. I was terrified and definitely had reservations, but once I got into it I loved it.’

Meanwhile, Cheryl, 25, wants to buy her home football team Newcastle United following owner Mike Ashley's decision to sell the club.

But she reckons she needs bandmates Sarah Harding, 26, Nadine Coyle, 23, Nicola Roberts, 22, and Kimberley Walsh, 26, to contribute.

'I'm doing everything I can think of,' she says.
