Just hours after her latest album debuted at the top of the iTunes chart, Taylor Swift sat down with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America to talk all about "Red."
Focusing on the process of actually collaborating with various songwriters for a change, Swift said the CD took her to the "edges of what I'm allowed to do" as an artist. Meaning what, exactly?

Country singer beats Jonas Brothers with first week sales in US

Taylor Swift has topped the US charts with her new album Fearless.

At 592,000, the 18-year-old country music singer's first week sales were 67,000 ahead of the Jonas Brothers' debut week sales for A Little Bit Longer, which hit 525,000.

Taylor was dating Joe Jonas, 19, until earlier this month, when he dumped her over the phone.

He is now with actress Camilla Belle, who starred in the video for his hit Lovebug.

Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift Split

Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift have ended their romance, according to reports.

The pair -- Joe, 19, and Taylor, 18 -- had dated for several months.

They split at the beginning of this month (October), with Joe ending the relationship with her over the phone.

A source says, "He broke her heart."

Another added, "He dumped her because of his crazy work schedule and because he had pressure from his family to stay single in order to further his career.

"Taylor was falling in love with him, and it was getting too serious, too quickly for him."

The country star and the Jonas Brothers singer never confirmed their relationship.

"He's an amazing guy, and anyone would be lucky to be dating him," she told reporters at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

Reps for both stars declined comment.

Taylor Swift Leaving Her Hotel In Manhattan

American country music singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, 18, was snapped leaving her Midtown Manhattan hotel in New York City yesterday.

She just won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Break-Out Artist and she is nominated for a 2008 MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist. (VMA’s air live Sunday, Sept. 7)

‘I can’t believe I get to go to the VMA’s!!! When I got the news about the nomination, I was on a plane. A very small plane. And I just started screaming bloody murder and everyone around me was a little freaked out, but it was worth it. I get to go to the VMA’s…YES!!”
