Scary Spice in tears as man is arrested for threatening behaviour

Mel B and her husband Stephen Belafonte have been involved in a scary incident where they were confronted by a crazed man who began shouting abuse at them. 



The pair were arriving at Heathrow Airport from New York with her daughter Angel Iris, 14, when he started hurling insults. Stephen, 33, stepped in to defend his wife and a huge row is said to have taken place.



‘A man who recognised her began giving her a hard time,’ a witness tells the Daily Mirror. ‘She had no minders with her and it could have turned nasty. 



‘Her husband did nothing wrong and was just trying to protect his family. There was a lot of pushing and shoving and she was in tears.

'But the member of the public just lost the plot. He was still going mad and swearing his head off when police arrived.’ 



Mel, 33, who recently turned down a £1 million offer to pose for Playboy, and Stephen were questioned by police. 

Officers have confirmed that a 22-year-old man was arrested for threatening behaviour over the Terminal 3 incident.

Mel B: Sells personal possessions for Childrens Cancer Charity

Scary Spice shifting stuff from her UK home

Mel B is selling off personal possessions from her UK home to raise cash for children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

Scary Spice, 33, has launched the website melbsale.com to run an online auction where fans can bid for her stuff.

Items up for grabs include Mel's motorbike, grand piano, meditation chair, dining table, harp, toaster and her personal copy of Spice World: The Movie.

Five Roberto Cavalli outfits from the recent Spice Girls comeback tour and her iconic leopard skin costume are also for sale.

‘I feel happy to be able to contribute to such an important cause,’ she tells Now Online.

‘As a mother it was important to me to be a part of an organisation that provides clinical, emotional and financial support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.

‘Every single one of these items has a personal value to me and I have no doubt that there will be something in the auction for everyone out there. I hope that people have fun bidding on a piece of me.’

The auction runs from today until Sunday at 8pm.

Mel B will show off her dancing skills in new fitness DVD Totally Fit.

The Spice Girl, 33, has put together a 28-day plan of aerobic and resistance workouts.

She also offers diet tips, recipes and advice on nutrition.

‘For anyone with jubbily bits, I’m going to tighten you up, make you laugh and enjoy your workout no matter what level of fitness you are,’ she tells People.

The former SPICE GIRL’s pooch got an up-close view of its sexy master on a beach stroll in Malibu yesterday - not that it seemed to be paying her the attention she deserved.

Mel’s bikini body looked on top form as she soaked up the rays in the California sun, while her matching white pet chewed on a rag doll likeness of its owner.

It’s just as well the singer’s sporting a toned frame – she’s just announced the release of her first fitness DVD.

Called Totally Fit, Mel used her experience on US TV show Dancing With The Stars as inspiration for the 28-day programme of aerobic and resistance workouts.

She said: “For anyone with jubbily bits, I'm going to tighten you up, make you laugh and enjoy your workout no matter what level of fitness you are.”

The video will hit shop shelves in February.

Mel B: I love my life in California I doubt if I move back to the U.K.

Mel B has announced that she's so settled in LA she doesn’t ever see herself returning home.

‘I don’t think I’ll ever come back to the UK to live,’ she says. ‘I live in a really cool area and the sun shines all day.

'I’ve been in LA for 6 years and my daughter Phoenix is 9, so that’s most of her life. I wouldn’t uproot her.'

Mel, 33, who is married to Stephen Belafonte, says that there are some things she misses about England.

‘You can’t get fish, chips and scraps in LA,’ she complains to Celebs on Sunday.

‘And there isn’t the local pub everybody goes to, with the same people, having the same chat. I miss all that.’

Mel also has a daughter Angel, 17 months, with Eddie Murphy.

NEW York Fashion Week is getting Spicey.

Just one day after VICTORIA BECKHAM wowed the pack with her shock pixie crop, former bandmate MELANIE BROWN went one better as she modelled on the catwalk.

The ex-SPICE GIRL looked in undie-believable shape as she paraded her curvaceous 34DD figure for underwear giants Ultimo at the city's historic Metropolitan Pavilion.

Unfortunately Mel came over all shy, leaving the skimpier garments to a selection of gorgeous models.

Even so, the amazing reception given to Mel indicated she is quickly catching Victoria up as the most famous Spice Girl in America.

She has been invited to a string of events supporting US presidential candidate BARACK OBAMA and thrilled fans after coming second on Dancing With The Stars last Christmas.

Mel said: “The show was fantastic! I was so nervous, but as soon as I stepped out onto the catwalk the nerves went out the window.

"All the girls looked great in the lingerie and did Ultimo and Michelle proud - it was a great day.”

MICHELLE MONE, 36, co-founder of MJM International and creator of Ultimo, said: “The show was a huge success and Mel looked incredible.

"The auditorium was jam-packed and everyone was really impressed with the collection, so I couldn’t be happier. I just can’t believe it’s all over!

US Open runner-up ANDY MURRAY was spotted getting over his final defeat to ROGER FEDERER as he watched on from the front row.

Not a bad way to make up for his disappointment then eh?

Scary Spice Mel B: Comes to New York Fashion Week Spring 2009

Scary Spice Mel B, 33, is to come at New York Fashion Week Spring 2009 presenting Ultimo underwear.

Melanie Brown signed up as the new face and body of the lingerie brand Ultimo in April 2008. She will show their new line along with designers Philip Lim, DKNY, Diesel Black Gold, Herve Leger, Betsey Johnson, Ralph Lauren and Rock & Republic next Tuesday.

Michelle Mone created Ultimo, that is the very first British lingerie model house to show theirs collection at New York Fashion Week, and Michelle is one of the few Scottish designers to have their linen grace its catwalks.

Mel B said:

I am thrilled to be representing Ultimo at New York Fashion Week. I’m so passionate about Ultimo’s designs and I can’t wait for the crowd’s reaction to what Michelle and the team will be sending down the runway.”

Michelle said:

I could not believe it when I received the phone call from New York; I honestly thought it was a wind up! You don’t get much bigger than New York Fashion Week.

"To be showing in one of the most prominent fashion cities in the world, alongside such well-established designers, is just phenomenal. It will be a huge honour and a fantastic opportunity for us to shine under the international spotlight, and to establish Ultimo on a global level. Mel B: I have very little in common with Victoria Beckham

Mel B admits she’s not close friends with fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

Scary lives a few miles from Posh, 34, in LA.

But she says they have little in common.

‘Victoria and I are very different,’ she says. ‘People bracket us together because we live in the same city and we’re both interested in fashion.

'Victoria’s fashion line has been very successful and hopefully mine will be, too.

'But that’s where the similarities begin and end.’

And Mel, 33, rarely speaks to the other Spice Girls – Geri Halliwell, 36, Emma Bunton, 31, and Mel C, 34.

‘We’re not in touch much,’ she says. ‘I don’t physically see any of the Spice Girls.’

Mel B would consider appearing nude in Playboy

Mel B would consider appearing nude in Playboy magazine.

The Former Spice Girl revealed she has turned down two offers to appear in the adult publication, but hasn't ruled out the idea completely.

She said: "I was offered Playboy last year and again a couple of months ago, and I did turn them down, but that's not to say I wouldn't consider it in the future. I have no problems walking around the house naked or anything."

Mel became the body of underwear brand Ultimo in April this year, and has appeared in several raunchy adverts for the company.

The 33-year-old star - who has two daughters, nine-year-old Phoenix and Angel, 16 months - also says she is comfortable with her body image and doesn't believe in dieting to lose weight.

She added to Britain's Closer magazine: "I'm pretty confident with my bikini body. It's not like I've got a skinny body either - it's very voluptuous. But I do like it and that's great. I work out and eat healthy and listen to my body.

"I've never lost my curves and got skinny. I guess working out and genetics have helped me in that department. I don't believe in dieting to lose weight."

Mel is planning to release a fitness DVD early next year, to reveal how she got back into shape after giving birth.
