Ben Affleck has admitted that he regrets his romance with Jennifer Lopez.
The 36-year-old actor says their relationship span out of control before either of them realised.
‘I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love, we were excited and maybe too accessible,’ he tells Live.
‘I don’t think either of us anticipated the degree to which it would take on a world of its own.’
The couple started dating in 2002 after meeting on set of Gigli, but they broke up shortly before they were due to wed in September 2004.
Ben is now married to Jennifer Garner, 36. They have a 2-year-old daughter Violet.
Jen, 39, has 9-month-old twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony, 40.

The couple broke up when Ben was seen at a strip club in Vancouver after JLo announced that “He’s the one.” Don’t worry about Ben’s fortunes, though. Jennifer returned the ring right after their split was announced in 2004.
