Christina Applegate Battling Breast Cancer

1_A rep for Christina Applegate, 36 has announced in a statement that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing treatment .
The statement said:
“Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening.”
“Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery. No further statement will be issued at this time.”
It was announced last month she would participate in the U.S. TV telethon Stand Up To Cancer on September 5th, joining Meryl Streep, Sally Field, Jennifer Aniston and Scarlett Johansson in raising money for cancer research.
Applegate is also set to compete in next month’s Emmy Awards, after receiving a nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in hit TV show Samantha Who?
