When your ex slams you in one of the world’s angriest songs, you oughta know she’s more than a little irritated.
Comedian Dave Coulier reveals in a new interview that when he heard Alanis Morissette’s bitter 1995 anthem, “You Oughta Know,” he knew right away the singer was not too happy with him.
Slammed with press calls, Coulier – best known as lovable Uncle Joey from Full House – called Morissette about the song, which he first heard when he was driving.
“I said, ‘Wow, this girl is angry.’ And then I said, ‘Oh man, I think it’s Alanis,’” Coulier tells the Calgary Herald.
“I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, ‘I think I have really hurt this person.’”
Coulier tells the paper he and Alanis, a fellow Canadian, eventually met up and “we saw each other and hung out for an entire day. And it was beautiful. It was one of those things where it was kind of like, ‘We’re good.’”
Morissette and Ryan Reynolds split in 2007. Reynolds is now engaged to actress Scarlett Johansson.
