New father of six Brad Pitt will soon be leaving the homefront (currently a French chateau) to star in a WWII movie.
The 44-year-old actor has signed on for Quentin Tarantino’s WWII drama Inglorious Bastards, according to Variety.
In the movie, Pitt plays “a Tennessee hillbilly who assembles a team of eight Jewish-American soldiers to take on the Nazis,” the trade paper reports.
The Missouri-born actor will speak English in the WWII flick, although much of the film’s dialogue is in French or German.
B.J. Novak from The Office is also in talks to star in the drama.
Filming starts Oct. 13 in Germany.
