Will Ferrell is a busy guy these days when it comes to makin movies.
Variety is now reporting that Will has been cast as the lead in Sony’s dramedy Two Face, which is written by X-Files vet Vince Gilligan, who also had a hand in the Hancock screenplay.
The pitch: Ferrell will play a virulent racist who develops a split personality after an accident, and his alter ego turns out to be a bleeding-heart liberal.
Ferrell has been interested in the project for several years, but the recent success of the Gilligan-scripted Hancock has prompted Sony to move forward with the film.
Mark Johnson and Jimmy Miller will serve as producers on Two Face.
Ferrell is hoping to star in the film prior to shooting a Sherlock Holmes comedy with Sacha Baron Cohen. He also has his comedy Land of the Lost coming out, which is now in post-production.
