Katherine Heigl has revealed her secret to finding the perfect partner: believe in yourself.

The 27 Dresses star, who married musician Josh Kelley, 28, last December, thinks you shouldn't work too hard at attracting a man.

'My advice to someone looking for Mr Right? Never try too hard,' she says. 'I wouldn’t pursue any guy who didn’t really show interest. I felt in that case I should move on and find someone else who was more interested.'

Katherine, 29, met Josh when she starred in the video for his single Only You. And she thinks women these days should learn to respect themselves more.

'Any time you try too hard to get someone’s attention, it lessens your value,' she tells Now Celebrity Weddings. 'And all us girls should value ourselves.

Actress spills the beans on her wayward behaviour

Katherine Heigl has admitted to letting her behaviour slip in the eyes of her religion.

The actress was raised a Mormon after her mother and father converted to the faith when she was 7 years old.

‘I’m not as disciplined about it as I once, but I hope to find my way back as I get older and a little less selfish.

The religion employs strict rules about social behaviour, as Katherine, 29, has found out.

‘If I start going back to church I’d have to stop the smoking and drinking, and I wouldn’t be able to curse any more.

‘I’m ashamed to say that I’ve got very lazy about it all.’

Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl has revealed that she first bought up the subject of marriage with her musician husband Josh Kelly.

'I started talking about marriage about 9 months into our relationship,' she says. 'I knew early on how much I adored him and I couldn't imagine life without him.

'Marriage and family is important to me. I wanted to move forward, so I asked about marriage. I forced his hand!'

The 29-year-old actress – who starred as the eternal bridesmaid in 27 Dresses – says married life is even better than she imagined.

'It’s been really wonderful. There’s a steadiness to our relationship that wasn’t there before.

'I feel like I can just be me with Josh. I don’t have to worry about impressing him, I don’t have to worry about pleasing him all the time. It’s a very comfortable relationship.'

Katherine Heigl Flashes Her Tighty Whities

Katherine Heigl, the woman who was up in arms over her film Knocked Up, which she described in an interview as "a little sexist," is clearly concerned with taking on more feminist roles as we see her on the set of her most recent film The Ugly Truth, walking around in her panties. In this scene, her character is on a date and loses her skirt oh-so-conveniently when her date drives off with her skirt stuck in his car door.

This romantic comedy is a follow-up to Katherine's other recent romantic comedy, 27 Dresses in which she played a woman who is always a bridesmaid and never a bride.

Wow, after reading the premises of her recent filmography, I'm pretty shocked that she wasn't able to beat out Heidi Montag for feminist icon status.
